This Order revokes the Uzbekistan (Restrictive Measures) (Overseas Territories) Order 2006 made to give effect, in the overseas territories to which the 2006 Order extended, to Council Common Position 2005/792/CFSP (as amended by Council Common Position 2008/843/CFSP) which was adopted by the Council of the European Union on 14th November 2005 to provide for certain restrictive measures against Uzbekistan. On 27th October 2009 the Council decided that the Council Common Position 2005/792/CFSP (as amended) should not be extended beyond the expiry date of 13th November 2009.
A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sector is foreseen.
