Timetable

1.  The proceedings in the referendum are to be conducted in accordance with the following Table —

Notice of appointment of polling and counting agentsNot later than the fifth day before the date of the pollRule 17(6)
Notice of designation of a designated counting agentAt the same time as notice of appointment of the counting agentRule 17(6) and (8)
PollingBetween the hours of 7a.m. in the morning and 10p.m. at nightRule 4

Computation of time

2.  In calculating any period of time for the purposes of these Rules, the following days are to be disregarded —

(a)a Saturday or Sunday;

(b)Christmas Eve or Christmas Day;

(c)a day which is a bank holiday in Wales under the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971(1); and

(d)a day appointed for public thanksgiving or mourning,

nor is a counting officer obliged to proceed with the counting of votes on such a day.
