The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 150(4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Christmas Bonus (Relevant Week) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 27th November 2008.
2. For the purposes of subsection (4) of section 150 (interpretation of Part 10) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992, the relevant week in relation to the year 2008 is the week beginning Monday, 22nd December.

This Order provides that the relevant week for the purposes of Part 10 (Christmas bonus for pensioners) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 (c. 4) is the week beginning Monday, 22nd December for the year 2008.
