The Films Co-Production Agreements Order 1985 (“the principal Order”) provides that films made in accordance with the agreements between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Governments of other countries listed in the Schedule are to be treated as British films for the purposes of Schedule 1 to the Films Act 1985. This Order extends the list of agreements scheduled to the principal Order to include an agreement with Jamaica of 23rd April 2007 (Cm. 7168) and removes from the list the agreements with Norway of 8th December 1982 (Cmnd. 9007) and with the Federal Republic of Germany of 30th January 1975 (Cmnd. 6155). The agreement with Jamaica was laid before Parliament on 9th July 2007 and is available from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website: www.fco.gov.uk. This Order also revokes a previous Order which amended the Schedule to the principal Order and has now been superseded.
1985 c.21. Paragraph 4(5) was substituted by the Films (Definition of “British Film”) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006/643).
S.I. 1985/960, as amended by the Order mentioned in article 3.
