1.—(1) Amend the Care Homes Regulations 2001(1) as follows.
(2) In regulation 2, in the definition of “relative”—
(a)after “spouse” (in each place) insert “or civil partner”; and
(b)at the end, insert “or as if they were civil partners”.
(3) In Schedule 3, in paragraph 3(a), after “marital status” insert “or civil partnership status”.
2. In Part 2 of Schedule 3 to the Private and Voluntary Health Care (England) Regulations 2001(2), in paragraph 1(a), after “marital status” insert “or civil partnership status”.
3. In regulation 2 of the National Care Standards Commission (Registration) Regulations 2001(3), in the definition of “relative”—
(a)after “spouse” (in each place) insert “or civil partner”; and
(b)at the end, insert “or as if they were civil partners”.
4.—(1) Amend the Adult Placement Schemes (England) Regulations 2004(4) as follows.
(2) In regulation 2, in the definition of “relative”—
(a)after “spouse” (in each place) insert “or civil partner”; and
(b)at the end, insert “or as if they were civil partners”.
(3) In Schedule 4, in paragraph 1(d), after “ marital status” insert “or civil partnership status”.
