8.—(1) Amend the Greater London Authority Elections (No. 2) Rules 2000(1) as follows.
(2) In Schedule 1 (The Constituency Members Election Rules)—
(a)in rule 30(2), for “husband [wife]” (in each place) substitute “spouse, civil partner”;
(b)in rule 34(3)(b), for “husband, wife” substitute “spouse, civil partner”; and
(c)in rule 39(2)(b), for “husbands or wives” substitute “spouses or civil partners”.
(3) In Schedule 2 (The London Members Election Rules)—
(a)in rule 31(2), for “husband [wife]” (in each place) substitute “spouse, civil partner”;
(b)in rule 35(3)(b), for “husband, wife” substitute “spouse, civil partner”; and
(c)in rule 40(2)(b), for “husbands or wives” substitute “spouses or civil partners”.
(4) In Schedule 3 (The Mayoral Election Rules)—
(a)in rule 31(2), for “husband [wife]” (in each place) substitute “spouse, civil partner”;
