The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 30(1), (2)(a), (b), (c) and (d) and (2A) and 41(4) of the Employment Tribunals Act 1996(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Lord President of the Court of Session, hereby makes the following Rules:—
1. These Rules may be cited as the Employment Appeal Tribunal (Amendment) Rules 2001 (Amendment) Rules 2001 and shall come into force on 16th April 2001.
2. Rule 1(1) of the Employment Appeal Tribunal (Amendment) Rules 2001(2) shall be amended by the substitution of the words “16th July 2001” for the words “18th April 2001”.

These Rules amend the Employment Appeal Tribunal (Amendment) Rules 2001 (S.I. 2001/1128) by changing the coming into force date of those Rules from 18th April 2001 to 16th July 2001.
1996 c. 17. Section 30(2)(b) was amended by regulation 35(4) of the Transnational Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 1999 (S.I. 1999/3323). Section 30(2)(d) is amended, and section 30(2A) inserted, by paragraph 5(2) and (3) of Schedule 8 to the Employment Relations Act 1999 (c. 26). By virtue of section 1 of the Employment Rights (Dispute Resolution) Act 1998 (c. 8) industrial tribunals were renamed employment tribunals and references to “industrial tribunal” and “industrial tribunals” in any enactment were substituted with “employment tribunal” and “employment tribunals”.
