This Order makes provision about appeals by senior police members of the National Crime Squad who are dismissed or required to resign by a decision taken in proceedings under Regulations made in accordance with section 81 of the Police Act 1997 (c. 50). The provisions generally mirror those of Schedule 6 to the Police Act 1996 (c. 16) and the Police (Appeals) Rules 1985 (S.I. 1985/576). They also make provision for the appointment of a Registrar to the tribunal and confer functions upon him.
