The Personal Pension Schemes (Deferred Annuity Purchase) (Acceptance of Contributions) Regulations 1996

2.—(1) In these Regulations—

“member” and “personal pension scheme” have the meanings given by section 630(1)(1);

“pension date” means the date determined in accordance with arrangements made by a member in accordance with a personal pension scheme on which the member elects—

(a)

to defer the purchase of an annuity such as is mentioned in section 634, and

(b)

to make income withdrawals in accordance with section 634A(2).

(2) Any reference in these Regulations to a particular section is a reference to that section of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988.

Section 630 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 was amended by section 55(1) of the Finance Act 1988 (c. 39) and by paragraph 2 of Schedule 11 to the Finance Act 1995.

Section 634A of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 was inserted by paragraph 4 of Schedule 11 to the Finance Act 1995.
