Explanatory Note

These Regulations amend the Dairy Produce Quotas Regulations 1994 (“the principal Regulations”).

Regulation 2 amends regulation 15 of the principal Regulations so that, as regards the quota year commencing on 1st April 1996, the date by which a transferee of quota must notify the Intervention Board of an agreement made for the temporary transfer of quota in accordance with that regulation is extended to 31st December 1996, which is the latest notification date permitted under Article 6 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3950/92 establishing an additional levy in the milk and milk products sector (OJ No. L405, 31.12.92, p.1).

The expressions “quota”, “quota year”, and “transferee” are defined in regulation 2(1) of the principal Regulations.
