The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 92 and 219(2)(e) and (f) of the Water Resources Act 1991(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 31st August 1996.
2. Regulation 7(2)(b) of the Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations 1991(2) (time limit for the exemption for field silage methods in use in the 3 years immediately before 1st March 1991) is hereby revoked.

These Regulations revoke regulation 7(2)(b) of the Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations 1991. Regulation 7 allowed field silage methods which were in use in the 3 years immediately before 1st March 1991 to continue to be used in certain circumstances until 1st September 1996. These Regulations remove the time limit of 1st September 1996.
