The proposed road to be constructed in terms of the Melrose to A68 Phase 3 Road Scheme promoted by Borders Regional Council from the Melrose junction on the A6091 Galashiels-Newton St Boswells Road near Wairds Cemetery in a generally easterly direction to the proposed junction with the A68 Edinburgh-Newcastle Upon Tyne Trunk Road at Ravenswood.
