Electoral Division 16: West Nithsdale

Commencing on the western boundary of Nithsdale District at the southern boundary of ED 15 (Queensberry) at grid reference NX 7606 8457; then generally northeastward along the said ED boundary to the River Nith; then generally southward along the River Nith and northwestward along the Cluden Water to the eastern boundary of Kirkpatrick Irongray parish; then generally southward and westward along the said parish boundary to Hardthorn Road; then generally southeastward along Hardthorn Road to the A75(T) Dumfries By-Pass; then generally southwestward along the said road to the line of field boundaries south of Terraughtie Cottages; then southward following the said field boundaries to the Lochfoot to Cargenbridge minor road; then eastward along the said road to the A711 Dalbeattie/Dumfries Road; then southeastward along the minor road leading to the A710 New Abbey Road to its intersection with the minor road leading south from Cargenbridge at Carruchan Lod` ge; then generally northeastward along the said minor road and continuing along field boundaries at junction with access to Conhuith Farm to the Cargen Pow; then generally southeastward along the Cargen Pow to the River Nith and continuing southward to the southern boundary of Nithsdale District and Dumfries and Galloway Region; then westward and northward along the boundary of Nithsdale District to the point of commencement.
