These Regulations specify natural prawns and shrimps and any part of them for the purposes of the definition of “rod and line” in section 24(1) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Protection) (Scotland) Act 1951. These Regulations apply during the period from 1st September in each year to the end of the period during which it is permitted to fish for and take salmon by rod and line. In the case of the Rivers Earn and Eden the period is from 1st September to 31st October both dates inclusive and elsewhere in the River Tay Salmon Fishery District it is from 1st September to 15th October both dates inclusive.
