8.—(1) The following electoral divisions (as constituted immediately before 1st April 1991) shall be abolished–
(a)Bishop’s Cleeve and Swindon;
(b)Cotswold Edge;
(c)Quedgeley.
(2) There shall be created in the county of Gloucestershire–
(a)a new electoral division, to be known as Bishop’s Cleeve, which shall consist of the area of the parish of Bishop’s Cleeve (as constituted on 1st April 1991);
(b)a new electoral division, to be known as Leckhampton with Up Hatherley, which shall consist of the area of the parishes of Leckhampton and Up Hatherley (as constituted on 1st April 1991); and
(c)a new electoral division, to be known as Quedgeley, which shall consist of the area of the parish of Quedgeley (as constituted on 1st April 1991).
(3) From 1st April 1991 until the fourth day after the ordinary day of election of county councillors in 1993 –
(a)the Bishop’s Cleeve electoral division shall be represented by the person representing the Bishop’s Cleeve and Swindon electoral division immediately before 1st April 1991;
(b)the Leckhampton with Up Hatherley electoral division shall be represented by the person representing the Cotswold Edge electoral division immediately before 1st April 1991;
(c)the Quedgeley electoral division shall be represented by the person representing the Quedgeley electoral division immediately before 1st April 1991.
