The order has been preceded by an earlier Order entitled the Planning and Compensation Act 1991 (Commencement No.1 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1991 (S.I. 1991/2067) commencing provisions of the Act relating to England and Wales subject to transitional provisions. The order was made on 9th September 1991 to come into force on 25th September 1991.
