Amendments to regulation 12 (manner of making application for first examinations or periodical tests and fees)
4.—(1) Regulation 12 shall be amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph (1), from the word “either” to the end of the paragraph there shall be substituted the words “to the Secretary of State”.
(3) Paragraph (2) shall be omitted.
(4) After paragraph (3), there shall be inserted the following paragraphs–
“(4) Where the date appointed for a first examination or periodical test fixed at the applicant’s request is a Saturday, the fee in respect of the examination or test shall be increased by £17.50 in the case of a motor vehicle and £11.00 in the case of a trailer.
(5) Any sum payable by virtue of paragraph (4) shall be paid to the Secretary of State on or before the date reserved by him or on his behalf for the examination or test.”.
