2.—(1) In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires—
“the Act of 1967” means
“controlled area” means
“the county council”,
“licence” means
“local authority”,
“long-term parking” and “short-term parking” mean
“public off-street parking place” means
“prescribed” means
“regulations” means
“urban road” means
is a restricted road for the purposes of section 71 of the Act of 1967 (30 mph speed limit), or
is subject to an order under section 74 of that Act imposing a speed limit of not more than 40 mph.
(2) Any reference in this Order to an enactment is a reference to that enactment as amended by any subsequent enactment.
(3) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
