If by any such operations as foresaid the company shall interrupt the supply of water or gas, they shall forfeit twenty pounds for every day that such supply shall be so interrupted; and such penalty shall be appropriated to [F1that fund of the local authority or water board to which their revenues in respect of water are appropriated or, in the case of an interruption of a supply of gas, shall be paid to the Area Gas Board.]
