Parochial Buildings (Scotland) Act 1866

1 Interpretation of the Expressions "Erection, Improvement, and Enlargement" in recited Act.

The Expressions " Erection, Improvement, and Enlargement," contained in the recited Act, shall extend and apply to the Purchase or Acquisition of Parochial Buildings for the Purposes of the said Act, and the Improvement and Enlargement thereof, and the Power to borrow Money required to defray the Expense of the Erection, Improvement, or Enlargement of such Parochial Buildings, and to grant Bond therefor, and the Interest thereof, repayable in Ten Tears; and the Power to charge and assign the said annual Assessments, as contained in the recited Act, shall extend to and include the Price of Parochial Buildings already erected, purchased, or to be purchased for the Purposes of the Act, and the Ground attached thereto, and the Expense of improving and enlarging the same, including the Purchase of any Feu or Ground Annual payable for such Ground or Buildings ; and the Creditors in or Persons having Eight to such Bond and Assignation shall have the same Eights and Remedies for Recovery of the Sums, Principal and Interest, due under such Bond and Assignation, as are conferred by the said recited Act.
