CXXIV Writs of Execution to remain in force for One Year and to be renewed if necessary.

A Writ of Execution issued after the Commencement of this Act, if unexecuted, shall not remain in force for more than One Year from the Teste of such Writ, unless renewed in the Manner herein-after provided; hut such Writ may, at any Time before its Expiration, be renewed, by the Party issuing it, for One Year from the Date of such Renewal, and so on from Time to Time during the Continuance of the renewed Writ, either by being marked with a Seal bearing the Date of the Day, Month, and Year of such Renewal, (such Seal to be provided and kept for that Purpose at the Office of the Masters of the Court out of which such Writ issued,) or by such Party giving a written Notice of Renewal to such Sheriff, signed by the Party or his Attorney, and bearing the like Seal of the Court; and a Writ of Execution so renewed shall have effect, and be entitled to Priority, according to the Time of the original Delivery thereof.
