Chairman of the Foreign Compensation Commission
25In section 1 of the [1950 c. 12.] Foreign Compensation Act 1950 (constitution of the Foreign Compensation Commission), at the beginning of subsection (3) there shall be inserted the words “Subject, in the case of the chairman, to subsection (3A) of this section,” and after that subsection there shall be inserted—
“(3A)The chairman of the Commission shall vacate his office on the day on which he attains the age of seventy years; but this subsection is subject to section 26(4) to (6) of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (power to authorise continuance in office up to the age of seventy-five years).”
