5In section 4(1) of the Atomic Energy (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1981, in the definition of “radioactive substance”, for “has the same meaning as in section 12 of the Radioactive Substances Act 1948” there is substituted “means any substance which consists of or contains any radioactive chemical element, whether natural or artificial”.
