The Hospital Complaints Procedure Act 1985
29After section 1 of the [1985 c. 42.] Hospital Complaints Procedure Act 1985 there shall be inserted—
“1AIt shall also be the duty of the Secretary of State to give directions under paragraph 6(2)(e) of Schedule 2 to the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 and paragraph 6(2)(e) of Schedule 7A to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, to any NHS trust which is responsible for the management of a hospital, to comply with directions under section 1 above.”
