This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
7In section 7 of the [1861 c. 97.] Malicious Damage Act 1861 (which makes it an offence to set fire to anything in, against or under a building in such circumstances that if the building were thereby set fire to it would amount to felony) for the words " the offence would amount to felony " there shall be substituted the words " he would be guilty of an offence under any of the preceding sections ".
