7If paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 to this Act comes into force during the prolongation of service of a person in the Royal Marines by virtue of paragraph 4(2) or (4) of Schedule 7 to the [1955 c. 18.] Army Act 1955, the repeal of those paragraphs by this Act shall not, without prejudice to the provisions of section 38(2) of the Interpretation Act 1889, operate so as to put an end to the prolongation or to affect the period thereof.
