This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
(1)Notwithstanding anything in section 3 of the [1700 c. 2.] Act of Settlement, Her Majesty may make regulations providing for the vesting of command over Her Majesty's forces, or any part or member thereof, in persons being members of forces of countries outside Her dominions, and as to the extent to which such command is to be exercised.
(2)In this section " Her Majesty's forces " does not include a force of a Commonwealth country within the meaning of the Naval Discipline Act 1957.
(3)Nothing in the foregoing provisions of this section shall be taken to affect the powers vested in Her Majesty by virtue of the prerogative of the Crown.
