Care of Cathedrals (Amendment) Measure 2005 (Appointed Day Instrument 2005)
Whereas the Care of Cathedrals (Amendment) Measure received the Royal Assent on the twenty–fourth day of March 2005
And Whereas by section 20(3) of the said Measure it is provided that the said Measure shall come into force on such day as the Archbishops of Canterbury and York may jointly appoint and that different days may be appointed for different provisions
And Whereas the See of York has been vacant since the twenty–eighth day of February 2005 by reason of the resignation of the Most Reverend David Michael Hope
Now therefore I ROWAN DOUGLAS by Divine Providence Archbishop of Canterbury do hereby appoint that the following provisions of the said Measure shall come into force on the sixth day of June 2005:
section 19 so far as it relates to paragraph 6 of Schedule 3
section 20 and
paragraph 6 of Schedule 3
