The Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2015

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(2) and (3) of the Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2015 and comes into force on 11th May 2015.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002.

Appointed days

2.—(1) 11th May 2015 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 5(1) and (2) of the Act (local authority arrangements for residential accommodation outwith Scotland) for the limited purpose of enabling regulations to be made.

(2) 24th June 2015 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 5 of the Act so far as then not in force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 11th May 2015 section 5(1) and (2) of the Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002 (“the Act”) for the limited purpose of enabling regulations to be made.

To the extent that it is not already in force, section 5 of the Act is commenced for all other purposes on 24th June 2015.
