The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 57(3)(b) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 (Registered Social Landlords) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st November 2001.
2. Each of the following bodies is to be treated as being a housing association which, immediately before the commencement of section 57(2) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001, was registered in the register of housing associations maintained under section 3 of the Housing Associations Act 1985(2):–
(a)Aberdeenshire Housing Partnership, having its registered office at Unit 8, Netherton Business Centre, Kemnay, near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, AB51 5LX;
(b)Cumbernauld Housing Partnership, having its registered office at Floor 8, Fleming House, 2 Tryst Road, Cumbernauld, G67 1JW;
(c)East Ayrshire Housing Partnership, having its registered office at 39/41 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock, KA1 1BL; and
(d)South Ayrshire Homes, having its registered office at Unit 4, Beresford Court, 6 Beresford Lane, Ayr, KA7 2DW.

This Order provides that the bodies mentioned in Article 2 are to be treated as being housing associations which were, immediately before the commencement of section 57(2) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001, registered in the register of housing associations maintained under section 3 of the Housing Associations Act 1985 (c. 69). By virtue of section 57(2) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001, such housing associations are registered as social landlords. In terms of section 57(1), the Scottish Ministers are to maintain a register of social landlords, which is to be kept open for public inspection at all reasonable times.
