The Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Designation, Transitional and Consequential Provisions (Scotland) Order 2002

Interpretation

2.  In this Order–

“the 1973 Act” means the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973(1);

“the 1989 Act” means the Local Government and Housing Act 1989(2);

“the 2000 Act” means the National Parks (Scotland) Act 2000;

“the establishment date” means 8th July 2002;

“local authority” means a council constituted under section 2 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994(3), any part of whose area is within the National Park;

“local member” has the same meaning as in schedule 1 to the 2000 Act;

“National Park” means the National Park designated by article 3 of this Order;

“ the Authority” means the National Park authority established by article 4 of this Order;

“the operational date” means 19th July 2002;

“the Planning Acts” has the same meaning as in the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997(4).
