2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), a producer who is a large producer for the purposes of the Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (No. 2) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2023 (1) (“the principal Regulations”) must ensure that the report submitted for the period from 1st January 2024 to 30th June 2024 complies with the producer’s data reporting obligations under the principal Regulations as amended by these Regulations.
(2) Where a large producer does not have sufficient data to report on the period from 1st January 2024 to the date on which these Regulations came into operation (the “commencement date”), the large producer—
(a)is not required to submit a report for the period from 1st January 2024 to the commencement date; but
(b)must submit a report for the period from the commencement date to 30th June 2024 which complies with its data reporting obligations under the principal Regulations as amended by these Regulations.
