1. These Regulations may be cited as the Criminal Justice (European Protection Order) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 and come into operation on 2nd November 2015.
2.—(1) The Criminal Justice (European Protection Order) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2014 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 3 (Interpretation - Part 2), in paragraph (1) -
(a)in the definition of “European protection order” for “means an order made in accordance with” substitute “has the meaning given by”; and
(b)in the definition of “protection measure”, in subparagraph (c), for “approaching the protected person to within a particular distance” substitute “approaching the protected person whether at all or within a particular distance”.
(3) In regulation 10 (Reviewing, modifying and revoking a protection measure and related European protection order), in the heading, for “Reviewing” substitute “Renewing”.
(4) In regulation 14 (Procedural requirements relating to the making of a restraining order), in paragraph (1), subparagraph (a), for “member” substitute “issuing”.
(5) In regulation 17 (Modification of the European protection order (and giving effect to a modified order)), in paragraph (6) for “the appropriate article” substitute “that Article”.

These Regulations make minor technical amendments to the Criminal Justice (European Protection Order) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2014.
1972 c. 68; section 2(2) was amended by section 27(1)(a) and (b) of the Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act 2006 (c. 51), and by section 3(3) of, and Part 1 of the Schedule to, the European Union (Amendment) Act 2008 (c. 7).
