2. In regulation 2(2) of the Deseasonlisation Premium (Protection of Payments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996(1) for the definition of “animal” there shall be substituted the following—
““animal” means a castrated male animal of the bovine species which is slaughtered during the period 1st January 1999 to 10th June 1999 (both dates inclusive).”.
