1. This Order may be cited as the Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Dependency) (Permitted Earnings Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998 and shall come into operation on 6th April 1998.
2. In paragraph 4(4) of Schedule 7 to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(1)—
(a)in head (a) for “£135” there shall be substituted “£140”; and
(b)in head (b) for “£17” and “£135” there shall be substituted “£18” and “£140” respectively.
3. The Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Dependency) (Permitted Earnings Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996(2) and the Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Dependency) (Permitted Earnings Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997(3) are hereby revoked.
