(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
The Goods Vehicles (Testing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 require the examination of goods vehicles to ensure that they comply with specified construction and use requirements. These Regulations amend the Goods Vehicles (Testing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 by removing the requirement for the examination of goods vehicles to ensure compliance with regulations 8 and 9 of the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1989. In those Regulations, regulation 8 concerns the height of the vehicle and regulation 9 concerns the indication of overall travelling height.
