Schedule 1: Detention and forfeiture of certain vehicles, ships and aircraft
Schedule 1 to the Act provides a power for the court to order the forfeiture of land vehicles, ships or aircraft that were used or intended for use in connection with human trafficking or slavery-like offences. Paragraph 2 makes provision for the police to detain a land vehicle, ship or aircraft that is believed to have been used or intended for use in connection with a human trafficking or slavery-like offence, where there were reasonable grounds to believe that a court could order its forfeiture, in the event of a conviction for that offence.
