Licensing of Pavement Cafés Act (Northern Ireland) 2014

Section 10: Applications: general provision

Section 10 sets out details of how applications for the grant, renewal or variation of a pavement café licence are to be made and a council’s responsibility when such applications are received.

Section 10(8) makes it an offence for a person, in connection with an application, to make a statement which is false in a material respect and to do so knowing it to be false. A person guilty of the offence is liable on summary conviction to a fine of up to £1000.
