2.—(1) The day appointed for the coming into force of paragraphs 9, 10 and 14(5)(a) of Schedule 1, and of section 1(4) in so far as it relates to those paragraphs, is 1 February 2002.
(2) The day appointed for the coming into force of paragraphs 3 (in so far as it relates to elected members) and 14(1), (3)(d) and (4) of Schedule 1, and of section 1(4) in so far as it relates to those paragraphs, is 16 June 2002.
(3) The day appointed for the coming into force of paragraph 12 of Schedule 1, and section 1(4) in so far as it relates to that paragraph, is—
(a)for the purposes of enabling consultation on appointments by the Education Committee, 15 February 2003; and
(b)for all other purposes 16 June 2003.
(4) The day appointed for the coming into force of paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 (in so far as it relates to the education members and the member appointed by the Secretary of State), and of section 1(4) in so far as it relates to that paragraph, is 16 June 2003.
(5) The day appointed for the coming into force of section 1(4) and paragraph 3 of Schedule 1, in so far as they are not yet in force, is 16 June 2004.
