2.—(1) The [1954 c. 33 (N.I.).] Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(2) In this Order—
“the Administration Act” means the [1992 c. 8.] Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992;
“the Contributions and Benefits Act” means the [1992 c. 7.] Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992;
“the Department” means [F1the Department for Communities] ;
“government department” means a Northern Ireland department or a department of the government of the United Kingdom;
“the Housing Executive” means the Northern Ireland Housing Executive;
“the Matrimonial Causes Order” means the [1978 NI 15.] Matrimonial Causes (Northern Ireland) Order 1978;
“the Pension Schemes Act” means the [1993 c. 49.] Pension Schemes (Northern Ireland) Act 1993;
“the Pensions Order” means the [1995 NI 22.] Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1995;
“statutory provision” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(f) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954;
“the Welfare Reform Act” means the Welfare Reform and 1999 c. Pensions Act 1999.
(3) In this Order, except Articles 1, 74(2) and (3) and 75(1) and (5), and in any statutory provision amended by this Order, references to the coming into operation of any provision of this Order are to its coming into operation otherwise than for the purpose of authorising the making of regulations.
