The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having regard to the change in the arrangements for the administration of establishments and facilities formerly managed by the East Anglian Regional Health Authority resulting from the establishment of the National Blood Authority(2), having consulted the Anglia and Oxford Regional Health Authority(3) and the National Blood Authority in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the National Blood Authority (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 9th February 1996.

(2) In this Order—

“the first Authority” means the Anglia and Oxford Regional Health Authority;

“the second Authority” means the National Blood Authority;

“the trust property” means the items specified in a schedule of trust property prepared by and agreed upon by the first Authority and the second Authority on 15th December 1994, which schedule has been signed on behalf of both the first Authority and the second Authority.

Transfer of trust property

2.  On 9th February 1996 the trust property shall be transferred from the first Authority to the second Authority.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order transfers to the National Blood Authority on 9th February 1996 trust property formerly held by the Anglia and Oxford Regional Health Authority. A copy of the schedule of trust property to which the Order refers can be obtained from the Department of Health, Corporate Affairs— Operational Policy Unit 2, Room 313, Eileen House, 80-94 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6EF.
