The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1) and (2)(g)(1), 2(1), 3(1), (2) and (3)(a) and (c), 4(3) and (5) as read with 4(1), 5(2)(c) as read with 5(1), 7(2) as read with 7(1), 8(1)(a)(2), 12(6) and (7)(3), 18(5) to (7) and 25(2) of, and paragraph 7 of Schedule 2, Schedule 3, and paragraphs 1(2)(ii), 2(2)(ii) and 5(1) of Schedule 7 to, the Public Service Pensions Act 2013(4).
In accordance with section 21 of that Act, the Secretary of State has consulted the representatives of such persons as appear to the Secretary of State likely to be affected by these Regulations.
In accordance with section 3(5) of that Act, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury.

See also section 12(1) to (3) and (5) of the Act. Section 12 of the Act comes into force on 1st April 2015.
