The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25(1)(b) of the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Act 1988(1), makes the following Regulations.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 12th September 2008.
2. In regulation 5(1) of the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Regulations 1998(2), for “the booklet entitled “Dangerous Traffic”, 13th Edition issued in 2005” there shall be substituted “the booklet entitled “Dangerous Traffic”, 14th Edition issued in 2007”.

These Regulations amend regulation 5 of the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Regulations 1998 to substitute a reference to the 14th edition of the booklet entitled “Dangerous Traffic” issued in 2007.
The booklet may be obtained in person or by post from Le Crossing Company Limited, Crossing Offices, South Orbital Way, Dartford, Kent, DA1 5PR, the Mersey Tunnels, Merseyside Passenger Transport Authority, George’ Dock Building, George’s Dock Way, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1DD or the Tyne Tunnel, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, NE28 0PD.
A regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on business, charities or voluntary bodies.
