The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated(1) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2) in relation to measures relating to the legal protection of biotechnological inventions, in exercise of powers conferred on her by the said section 2(2), and after consultation with the Council on Tribunals pursuant to section 8(1) of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1992(3), hereby makes the following Regulations(4):

In accordance with section 88(2) of the Scotland Act 1998, the Secretary of State has consulted the Scottish Ministers.
