The West Glamorgan Act 1987 | 1987 c.viii | Sections 37(3)(a) and 68 |
(This note is not part of the Order)
The Local Government (Wales) Act 1994 created unitary authorities in Wales to carry out the functions of the former district and county councils as from 1st April 1996.
This Order repeals sections 37(3)(a) and 68 of the West Glamorgan Act 1987 which in consequence of local government reorganisation in Wales has resulted in the anomalous situation of an agreement in writing being required by Swansea City Council with itself in respect of prohibition notices for pedal cycles and for the protection of Fairwood Airport, respectively.
