Article 2

SCHEDULE 1

That length of the railway of the Board (authorised by the Watlington and Princes Risborough Railway Act 1869(1)) in the parish of Chinnor in the district of South Oxfordshire in the County of Oxfordshire and in the parishes of Bledlow-cum-Saunderton and Longwick-cum-Ilmer in the district of Wycombe in the County of Buckinghamshire as extends from a point in the first-mentioned parish (reference point SP 754001) 586 metres south-west of the south-westerly face of the bridge carrying Station Road over the railway at Chinnor, continuing in a north-easterly and easterly direction and terminating in the parish of Longwick-cum-Ilmer by a junction with the easterly continuation of the said railway at a point coinciding with the boundary between the last-mentioned parish and the parish of Princes Risborough (close to its convergence with the former Thame branch railway erence point SP 789036).

Article 7

SCHEDULE 2Wainhill Crossing

Conditions and requirements to be observed by the undertaker

1.  Gates shall at all times be maintained across the railway at each side of the highway.

2.  The undertaker shall provide, maintain and operate at or near the crossing such other protectiveequipment as the Secretary of State may in writing approve.

3.  Such gates shall be kept constantly closed and locked across the railway except during the timewhen trains passing along the railway shall have occasion to cross the highway, and such gates shall be of such dimensions and so constructed as when closed across the railway or across the highway to fence in the railway sufficiently.

4.  The undertaker shall ensure that after a train has crossed the highway at the crossing the gatesshall be closed and locked as soon as reasonably possible, and if without reasonable cause the requirements of this paragraph are contravened the undertaker shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale.

5.  Such gates shall be made conspicuous by being periodically painted white and shall be providedwith reflectorised red targets, and in the event of rail movements taking place during the hours of darkness the undertaker shall cause lamps to be placed on the gates and arrange for such lamps to be lit and maintained.

SCHEDULE 3Footpath and Bridleway Crossings

Part 1Location

The crossings located at the following reference points:—

Parish of Chinnor, Oxfordshire

SP 759089 Keen’s Lane (bridleway No 27)

SP 767015 Hempton Wainhill (footpath No 40)

Parish of Bledlow-cum-Saunderton, Buckinghamshire

SP 775022 Westfield (footpath No 26)

SP 776023 Church End (footpath No 27)

SP 778024 Bledlow (footpath No 21)

Part 2Conditions and requirements to be observed by the undertaker

1.  The undertaker shall provide, maintain and operate at or near the crossing such protective equipment as the Secretary of State may in writing approve.

2.  A whistle board of standard railway design shall be provided on each of the railway approachesto each of the said crossings not less than 120 metres from the crossing, and drivers of trains passing between 0700 and 2330 hours shall sound the train whistle.
