In exercise of the power conferred upon me by section 3(3)(a) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Exempt Entertainments (Variation of Monetary Limit) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 3rd May 1994.
2. The sum of £250 is hereby specified as the maximum sum which the promoters of a lottery incidental to an exempt entertainment may appropriate on account of expenses incurred by them in purchasing prizes in the lottery.

This Order has the effect of increasing from £50 to £250 the sum which the promoters of a lottery incidental to an exempt entertainment are permitted to deduct from the proceeds of the entertainment on account of expenses incurred by them in purchasing prizes in the lottery.
