The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 80(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988(1), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with the provisions of section 195(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Designation of Approval Marks) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1993.
2. The Motor Vehicles (Designation of Approval Marks) Regulations 1979(2) shall be further amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.
3. In Schedule 2 after item 14A there shall be added the following item—
“14B | E11 14R-032439 | Motor vehicle approved in respect of the safety-belt anchorages. | The vehicle | 14 | (amendment, 29th January 1992) | 1 and 2” |

These Regulations further amend the Motor Vehicles (Designation of Approval Marks) Regulations 1979 by prescribing a new item 14B in Schedule 2, being a marking relating to a vehicle approved in respect of the safety-belt anchorages.
This amendment is consequential upon the 03 series of amendments incorporated in the second revision of ECE Regulation 14. Copies of this regulation and relevant amendments can be obtained from Her Majesty’s Stationery Office. The details are set out below.
