The A63 Trunk Road (Barnhill Lane, Howden Junction Improvement) Order 1992

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him(2), and of all other enabling powers:–

1.  The new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the routes described in the Schedule to this Order shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.

2.  The centre line of each of the new trunk roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

3.  In this Order:—

(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

(2) (i) “the deposited plan” means the plan contained in the plan folio numbered HA10/YHNMD/2 and marked “The A63 Trunk Road (Barnhill Lane, Howden Junction Improvement) Order 1992” signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;

(ii)“the new trunk roads” means the highways mentioned in article 1 of this order and “a new trunk road” means one of those highways;

(iii)“the trunk road” means the Liverpool-Leeds-Hull Trunk Road (A63).

This Order shall come into force on 1st December 1992 and may be cited as the A63 Trunk Road (Barnhill Lane, Howden Junction Improvement) Order 1992.

SCHEDULEROUTE OF THE NEW TRUNK ROADS

The routes of the new trunk roads are routes at Barnhill Lane, Howden Junction in the County of Humberside as follows:—

(1) a route about 70 metres in length, starting at a point on the trunk road (marked “A” on the deposited plan) about 150 metres west of Barnhill Lane (C33) then going east and south eastwards to a point (marked “B” on the deposited plan) about 40 metres south of the trunk road and 80 metres west of Barnhill Lane (C33) in the Borough of Boothferry in the County of Humberside.

(2) a route about 40 metres in length, starting at a point 40 metres south of the trunk road and 60 metres west of Barnhill Lane (C33) (marked “C” on the deposited plan) then going north-east to a point on the trunk road (marked “D” on the deposited plan) about 20 metres west of its junction with Barnhill Lane (C33) in the Borough of Boothferry in the County of Humberside.
