The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33(1) of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984(1), hereby makes the following Order:–

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 14th October 1991.

Divorce county court

2.—(1) For the purposes of section 33(1) of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984, the Weston Super Mare County Court shall be a divorce county court.

(2) The amendment set out in the Schedule to this Order shall be made to the Civil Courts Order 1983(2).

SCHEDULECONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENT

The Civil Courts Order 1983 shall be amended as follows:–

In Schedule 3 against the entry relating to Weston Super Mare there shall be inserted in Column 2:

Divorce

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 by designating the Weston Super Mare County Court as a divorce county court.
